Students would work with a General Mental Health population (BHIP clinic), meaning they will have the ability to pick from a waitlist including depression, anxiety, PTSD (using CPT), substance use issues (typically not full SUDs), anger/emotion regulation difficulties, insomnia, health co-morbidities, and relationship problems. We will select cases according to students’ interests and training needs. Additionally, students can co-lead an ACT group for anxiety and depression with me (on Mondays), possibly rotate into a women’s group for depression (Wednesdays), or do diagnostic intakes, according to their interest. Dr. Kangas is also a yoga teacher and in the process of planning multiple yoga therapy groups, for PTSD (part of a research study) and possibly miscarriage grief.

Limiting Factors Tuesdays are not available due to supervisor’s schedule. Monday afternoons (1:00-2:30) are the ACT group, at present, if student would like to co-facilitate group.
