Experience Type Students learn standardized neuropsychological assessment procedures and conduct complete neuropsychological assessments of patients, including chart review, clinical interview, test administration and scoring, interpretation and report writing, and patient and family feedback.  Students may also obtain some experience interacting with treatment and rehabilitation teams to integrate the results of the neuropsychological assessments. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic we offered tele-neuropsychological assessment services throughout the 2020-21 training year, and we anticipate continuing such offerings as well as movement towards resumption of both hybrid and in-person neuropsychological assessment services following the VA hospital’s guidance during this upcoming 2021-22 training year.

Limiting Factors Tuesday (2-4 pm) and Thursday (1:30-3 pm) supervision sessions; testings should be completed on Mon, Wed, or Fri; Clinical Neuropsychology Seminar meets Tuesday afternoons from 4-5 pm (starting in the fall)
Other Issues Attendance at mandatory training sessions is critically important during first two weeks of July
