Research Interests
Pauline’s long-term goal is to further the understanding of unique family and social factors, as well as underlying behavioral biomarkers that might contribute to the onset of internalizing problems in childhood and their maintenance as they transition to early adulthood. This will inform her ultimate goal to design and evaluate developmentally appropriate interventions for youth and young adults’ mental health problems (e.g., anxiety and depression) and to identify underlying processes by which treatment approaches exert their effects on symptoms.
