Behavioral Medicine

Vanessa Malcarne, PhD

Research Interests

My research focuses on how individuals adjust to chronic stress, in particular chronic illness. I am interested in studying coping across the illness trajectory and how it is related to biopsychosocial outcomes (e.g., quality of life, sleep) in underserved populations.
