Students will be issued one key to the Doctoral Training Facility (DTF). It opens the door of suite 103, the lounge, rooms A & B in the lounge, Conference Room 13, the Clinic Coordinator’s office (Room C), and the copy/mail room 12. Students will also be issued an access card to enter the building from the back parking lot. This card will be re-programmed to allow access to the SDSU Psychology Clinic – Suite 102 during Clinic practicum. Paulette Rose, the Clinic Office Manager, is in charge of issuing the keys and access cards.
We have developed the following policy in an effort to avoid charging a deposit for keys.
- For employees who are student teachers, work-study or other staff, the final paycheck/time card will be held until all keys have been turned in. SDSU requires the signing of a green card for “on-campus” keys
- For undergraduates who are research assistants, e.g., Psy 499s, etc., the final grade will not be forthcoming until the key(s) have been returned to Paulette.
- For those JDP students who leave for internship, keys must returned to Paulette. Credit for Psy 896, Clinical Practicum will not be given until all keys are in.
STUDENTS WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY KEY(S) ISSUED IN THAT STUDENT’S NAME. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. A STUDENT MUST NEVER GIVE THEIR KEY TO SOMEONE ELSE NO MATTER WHAT THE CIRCUMSTANCES. THIS HAS OCCURRED IN THE PAST AND HAS CREATED A GREAT DEAL OF CONFUSION. WITH THE NEW POLICY, THE POSSIBILITY THAT A STUDENT COULD BE PENALIZED FOR ANOTHER PERSON’S ERROR IS INCREASED CONSIDERABLY.
NOTE: If at some point keys are issued for an office on campus, the campus key office charges $50.00 for each lost key.
